William “Bill” Berkowitz founded BPU in 1985 and provides portfolio and investment guidance to credit unions, charitable, religious and fraternal organizations with the BPUCM team. Throughout his career in the financial services industry, Bill has lectured and written extensively for local and national publications on investing and portfolio strategy for institutional entities.
Daniel Unkovic is the President of BPUCM and is responsible for oversight of day to day activity of the bond trading desk. He is actively involved in managing relationships with institutional clients and serves as a member of BPU Investment Management, Inc.’s (BPU) Investment Committee that oversees almost $1 billion in client assets. Dan also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of BPU. He holds the following FINRA Licenses: Series 7, 24, 52, and 53. Dan serves on the Partner’s Board of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and several other non-profit Boards in the Pittsburgh community.
Paul Brahim is a shareholder, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BPU and Chief Executive Officer. He is also the Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee. Paul joined BPU in 1997 as Managing Director of Wealth Management. In that capacity, Paul led BPU’s efforts to provide comprehensive financial planning and asset management services. He was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2006, Chief Compliance Officer in 2011 and Chair and CEO in 2013.
Robert “Rob” Unkovic is a shareholder, President and Treasurer, and a Member of the Board of Directors of BPU. With over 30 years of experience in the securities industry, Rob oversees the development and growth of BPU’s financial advisors and the firm’s five branch offices. He is also a member of the BPU’s Executive Committee and oversees the firm’s private equity holdings. Rob is a Director for several western Pennsylvania technology and biotechnology companies. In addition, he is a Trustee for the NRA Foundation and a Chairman of the Board of Directors for Old Joe Charities, Inc.
